If it is here it means some shopping maybe, or staying at home, or if you are a bit on the rich side, a vacation or something like that. It will be great, if only places are not too crowded.

I am so sad I could hardly say anything now. Google just dropped my pr on this blog. Now I am left with pr 1. What have I done to deserve this? You tell me. This is just so damn disheartening. I am sad. I want some compensation, damnit. Sobs.

Just when I thought burgers are fast foods, this burger stall that I bought the supper burgers revolutionize the fast food burger notion. I waited for like, 20 minutes for it to be done, and in the meantime, went into 7-11 and whacked a vanilla Cornetto cones. And then I bought a bottle of Coke, came home and eat the burger, occasionally washing it down with some coke.

Now, that says something about my waistline, damnit.

Investments

Graduation is looming nearer than ever, and once my butt if outta the campus, my education loan borrowers are going to come knocking at my door very soon. Unless I find a job as soon as I get my scroll, there is little way to cough up money for the payment.

Now that I am writing paid posts and everything, with the little money that I have, I can try some investments. Forex investments maybe. There are risks, but everything is worth a try. I have yet to go and settle my bills. Yeah I am such a procrastinator, and I hate it. Talking to people is not my strong points, and I got easily defeated when the other party says something negative. Moi, moi, a wet shopping trip

I took a day off from blogging to go shopping, and as true as the weather forecast goes, it really rained in the evening. Very heavy in fact, that I wet my shoes walking from the car park to the mall. Dang, it is pretty uncomfortable walking around in wet shoes and shivering in a sleeveless top, but I can’t blardy well backup now that I am going shopping, and purposely came all the way, no?

I ate big mac again. Duh for the umpteenth time and now I am sick of it for the moment.

I used to adore Baby-G watches when I was still in high school, but due to financial constraint, I never really get a genuine one. Until today all my watches are of the cheaper range, cheap enough to wear once, and when the battery run out I can discard them without feeling the pinch.

Someday maybe, I will get a proper watch. Like a Nixon maybe. I saw the Nixon Watches in this website and I was totally salivating all over it. I wish I could get one with metal wristband (is that what it is called?) because plastic ones are a bit tacky. Looks like I’ve outgrown my Baby-G craze.

To clean or not to clean

I was talking about going shopping just a moment back, and when I turn my back to face the rest of the room, suddenly there is a nagging feeling that I have neglected something – the hurricane that swept through my room.

There it is, a mug of half finished coffee, three days old. Peeking in between the wardrobe is the shirt I’ve worn to class two weeks ago. Papers carpeted the whole room, with articles of clothing as the second layer. I can’t even find my car keys amidst the mess sometimes.

So, to clean or to procrastinate?

Looks like the weekend is here and I am going to sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep til I beat sleeping beauty at it. I don’t self proclaim myself as Sleeping Princess as nothing alright.

Just heard from the radio that the sky will be clear in the morning, with some rain in the evening, which means I am going shopping again with a flat broke wallet in the morning and return to hibernate at home, in conjunction of the rain. I hope the weather report is accurate, or I will need to have a change of plans.

Chicken Karaage

My chicken karaage experiment is a success! Chicken karaage or Japanese fried chicken, is one of my must order appetizer when I frequent a Japanese restaurant. However, since it is pricey, I figured maybe I could make them at home.

I bought some filleted thigh meat and chopped them in bite sized pieces and marinade them with whatever I have in my kitchen. Let’s see, I put in pepper, salt, soy sauce and an egg and some flour. To avoid fuss, I threw them all in a clear plastic bag and mixed them together.

Let the chicken marinade for around an hour, heat up some oil in wok and slowly deep fry the pieces of chicken after dipping them into some frying batter. I think the frying batter makes the chicken crunchier.

Big Macked

To commemorate my out of jail (read: end of fyp) I went and Mcded. Omg I ate big mac again. Talk about customer loyalty. Went to Dataran Pahlawan’s Mcd, because it is more comfy there, but it is just so crowded. There were kids, toddlers, parents, aunties, harajuku girls and even boy scouts there. So many people, three quarter full, but yet the fries are soggy. Just when I thought more customers mean faster selling rate and fresher fries. Pfft.

Watching my ti plant grow

Now that I am free, I wonder what should I do. Movie marathon? TVB marathon? Anime marathon? Or keyboard trigger happy?

Or maybe a bit of everything, since my attention span is not long enough to stay focused. Even if I wanted to watch, I can’t find something I like enough to stay glued to the monitor.

Ah~ at least the weather is not that warm, otherwise, do what also no mood. Might as well watch my ti plant grow.

Yeap, you would have guessed it, I passed up my project! All that is left would be that damn presentation and I will be done. I mean, as in THE END. NO MORE. I am so chucking away everything alright. It is just too depressing to see graphs upon graphs of how a wee bit of current increase will cause all the graph curves run askew or how a micrometer difference in length will cause the intensity of the light to increase or decrease. I have had enough.

By God’s grace, I will be able to pull it through. Pray hard for me.

Moisturizer Talk

I’ve just finished the Loreal moisturizer and essence, and now moving on to use the Clinelle moisturizer and moisture booster that I’ve bought aeons ago because I wanted to try and it was on sale. To be honest I can’t really tell which product is better and stuffs like that, and that really makes me a lousy product reviewer, if my life ever depends upon it.

Let’s see, while I find that the Loreal is good, sometimes putting them on irritates my skin, most of the time when I did it a wee bit excessively. And honestly between the late night sleeps and fried food, I wonder which one is the major culprit of the skin breakouts.

As far as I could remember, fire trucks are boxy vehicles painted red with ladders strap at the side. Throughout the years I have never really seen any new designs of fire truck. The vehicle is always as it is.

And then someone came along and modified a truck, a Ford F-250 to be exact, into a custom fire fighting emergency vehicle. This is something new to me, because as I know the kind of truck is useful for construction site workers and stuffs, it never really occurs to me that it could be turned into an emergency vehicle. The transformation work is done by a former volunteer firefighter in the aim of creating a "Ultimate Volunteer Firefighter's Emergency Response Vehicle". The vehicle is fully equipped and is capable of emergency usage.

Right now the vehicle is looking for sponsors supports. The website Custom Ford Superduty, shows the transformation of the truck into a fire truck, and it is interesting to read about how they installed the water pumps, aluminum radiator and all the technical stuffs. There will be classes tomorrow and I must attend. That class is always crowded and it is hard to find seats. With so many students I can guarantee you a warm and stuffy lecture hall. But the attendance counts, so I must go.

With the unexpected rainfalls daily, I can expect even more days of outstanding laundry, and I am afraid I that I run out of fresh clothes to wear.

What man. These kinda mundane jobs need to be done unless I hire a maid. Fat chance.

P/s: I am getting better at hitting FLYING mosquitoes. With my great palms. Smack! Smack! Smack! and there will be a handful. Heh, yeah I live in a swamp.

Children Learning

My cousin, who is in Massachusetts, just came back for holiday. Being a mother of two kids, a five year old and a four year old, like all parents, she is very anxious and eager to give her kids the best.

This time round she came back and talked on and on about a new program she enrolled her kids to. In fact, she is singing praises that I can give blow by blow account of what she said.

Her kids, like all kids have short attention span and it is just so hard to keep them still. But after enrolling her five year old daughter in their reading program and math program, she is very enthusiastic and even starts reading to her mother, must to her delight.

The problem with underdressing, is that, I feel that I’ve been underestimated. In a weird way. I am not entirely famous for being prim and proper, but sometimes I was kinda ashamed for being too sloppy for a girl’s standard.

Here I am, checking out some jackets that sis would like and the sales assistant (a male one, no less) keep tailing me and rearranging all the stuffs that I have touched.

I’ve learned not to take this kind of things to heart, but instead make more mess so that he could do more work.

I saw a PINK purse!

As I was saying, I wore pink slippers to jusco, and since I was there, might as well make use of the time to browse for something, since from 20-29th April there will be some price slash for J-card member.

I saw a pink purse which is quite nice, and was wondering if the price slash would apply. Well, I guess I will wait til then. If it is sold, means I don’t need to get it. We’ll see about that.

Pink Slippers

It rained today, as I was stepping out of the house to go to the campus. So, out of convenience, I wore my pink Japanese rubber slippers along with my jeans skirt and shirt. Since it was raining, the slipper was convenient, but after that I think I look weird. Hell, pink slippers and baby blue shirt, and I am not at home ok?

Walk around jusco for a while to get some vege. Gotta do some cooking project. Ekekeekek.

Back then when I started blogging, most of my peer bloggers blog for fun, and earning money blogging is something that not many bloggers do, at least not that I know of. Fast forward another two years and blogging has taken into a whole new meaning where more and more people are attracted to blog by the monetary rewards.

I was shy to say that, even after two years of blogging, I am still quite new in making money via blogging. That said, all I know is that, without traffic, a blog is as good as dead. Traffic is the lifeline of a blog, and to generate traffic, a blog must attract audiences in order to generate traffic.

There are a lot of blogs out there teaching bloggers how to optimize their blogs, how to make money and all that, but some the methods are quite dubious and might cause adverse effect. I don’t want to go into details about those, but I am sure you would be able to tell whether something is good or not.

I want to S.L.E.E.P.

Great, my sleeping time is screwed again. I think I am done with my project, but since the deadline has been postponed, I have a few more days left. The good thing with that is I get to add more stuffs, edit and beautify my project, but the bad thing is I am going to suffer a few more days of anxiety attacks. Which I think it sucks.

I still want to sleep at night and wake up in the morning. Being zombified is not funny. I think my left is feeling weird lately. This sucks. How I wish that I have perfect eyesight, or at least more balanced eyesight. Sigh.

Used Cars

I own a car. Well, technically speaking, my parents pay for the car so that I have a reliable transportation to move around. And I am grateful at that. Brand new cars are very expensive, so when the budget is not permitting but the need to have a car is urgent, used car is a better choice. We have a Used Cars at home too. So far it is working alright, and the price is a bit cheaper than the price of the new car. I think we must be careful when buying used cars, because some old cars need a lot of maintenance that will cost more than buying a spanking new car. In the meantime, it is no harm checking on a Toyota Corolla, because I like them.

There are more and more instant coffees on the market lately that it is hard to walk through the supermarket aisles without being asked to sample a few. Back then Nescafe was like, the second name for coffee, but for today we are so spoilt by choices that now I think Nescafe tasted inferior to a lot of newly sprouted brand names. One of my favourites would be those Old Town white coffees, and if you have tasted the authentic Old Town coffee in those quaint old style coffee shop in Ipoh you will agree with me wholeheartedly.

Passing Thoughts

As seen in the blog, I’ve taken two paid posts about cancer and cancer treatment, and it really makes me sit down and think about it. While you may say that being paid influenced me to do so, but actually, it wasn’t the case. In fact, it is the topic of the review that makes me think. The cash wasn’t really in my mind when all I could remember is about those who suffered in the hand of incurable diseases.

Thinking about sicknesses, cancers, disease and topics like these makes me gloomy. I don’t know if I am being phobic or too emphatic. The patients have my sympathies, and I really hope that medical advancement could help relieve them off their pain. By right, nobody should suffer and feel the pain of being wasted away by a disease.

I really hope that, by spreading more awareness, everyone should be sympathetic and supportive towards the less fortunate.

Brain tumor treatment

I admit that I know next to nothing about brain tumor, except that it might kill the patient, and chemotherapy is usually the treatment method, apart from surgery. I guess, being a patient of brain tumor or even family members of a brain tumor patient, everyone wants the best and most effective treatment. That is why we should be more aware of the alternatives out there, such as Gamma Knife.

Radiosurgery

I’ve just learned a bit about brain tumor. A brain tumor is created by abnormal and uncontrolled cell division in the cranial nerves in the brain envelopes, skull, pituitary and pineal gland, or spread from cancers primarily located in other organs. It is a painful cancer, and I wish the advancement of treatment can relief the patient off their sickness.

So far, the most heard of method used to treat brain tumor is to surgically remove the tumor. radiosurgery is still quite new and I have just heard of it of recent.

Big Mac Craze

McD will be winning the best dinner place, hands down, if not for the fact that it is a bit pricey for students like me. But what the heck, I still eat, depleting my ever thin wallet further. I can forget about buying new wallet with all those meals there.

And then, I ate two Big Macs for two days. Goodness, I didn’t know I have the stomach capacity. I ate the fries and drank the Coke too.

Looks like spending all day on the treadmill couldn’t even compensate what I ate. Let alone sitting in front of the pc typing. I don’t know how many YEARS must I type before burning all those away.

There is insurance for everything: yourself, your kids, your cars, and then there are insurance for the house too. Don’t tell me after paying so much to get a nice house and renovations you don’t want to consider insurance for it? There is a new kid on the block for this paid posting thingy. I signed up after reading it all over the blogsphere and my blog got approved. I think this is another great source of income for the bloggers in future, but right now everything is still in infancy stage and there are only two ops.

The thing that I don't quite fancy is how I keep getting kicked out of the system, forcing me to sign in again. So, let's just give Bloggerwave some time to grow and I think they will improve.

Screwed up my sleeping time again.

Slept at 4am and woke at 4pm. That was a glorious 12 hour full sleep alright. Couldn't feel worst off. Waking up in the evening is still something that I don't quite like, but I tend to do often. Maybe it is the amount of noise outside the house. I absolutely hate that.

Guess I only have myself to blame for sleeping and waking so late. Oh, never mind.

The thesis nightmare is going to end soon. And so is the instrumentation project. I am so looking forward for that.

In the meantime I will have to work it off.

Debt Consolidation

A month’s pay check came, and some parts are allocated for the housing loan, some for the car loans and some for some household stuff. I think that is how my parents allocate their finances. I sometimes think that managing money is quite hard, when what you have if not much for you to come by.

I think everyone should be money-wise, as earning incomes working is not exactly easy. There are information out there that could help better our situation, and websites such as Debt Relief contains much information about finance, debts and loans which are good to read, although sometimes they do write a bit on the crude and blank point reality side.

When there is sales, I always have this sub consciousness of reminding myself that my Pierre Cardin purse is falling apart, eight of my shirts are fraying, another pair of jeans are torn, and this and then that…well you get the idea. All great excuses to buy more stuff.

Where to find the money? The only real part of the nagging sub consciousness would be my falling apart purse. I have yet to find a good and affordable replacement, though it is no hurry. Can’t buy a purse that cost more than what I have in my own purse, no?

Guess, what? Today is mum’s birthday and I guess sending a card back home is better than not doing anything at all, so I drop by Jusco to get her a card. To my annoyance, the department store kept all their cards for spaces to display bed sheets for the J Card day sale tomorrow. For the love of God! Now I get no card for mummie! So, the next best thing I did was heading off to Popular Bookstore and grabbed a card.

Research is just soooooooooooooooooooo not my cuppa tea. Researching for some engineering subject is even worst. I might fare better watching dust accumulate on my table lamp.

I think I need new specs. I look positively out of fashion in the current one, and there are scratches on the glass. I've kneed/sat/stepped on it ACCIDENTALLY but this proved to be a durable pair of glasses. Wait. Make it super blardy durable. Not that I wanted to waste money, just making a remark on the durability, ok.

Comments are like, instant gratification from the hard work involved in writing my posts. I rarely get any comments on my blog, and if there is a few I would be in seventh heaven. You can laugh, but I am like that. So drop me a comment to cheer me up. Flames are welcomed too. as long as there is comment.

Which is why when I saw payperpost’s latest attempt on “Largest blog Comment Chain World Record Attempt” I was quite amazed that such things can be given a shot for record breakings. I’ve seen blogs that have a lot of comments, spasm included, but they wanted all genuine comment. Since it is a never been attempted before record breaking even, I say, why not drop a comment to join in the fun?

So far I’ve seen the comments and everyone’s supportive. Now I wonder if my name will appear in the Guinness book of records if I commented. Even if it doesn’t it is great to see something like this to be attempted. Why is it that when the weather is so fine now I am not free to enjoy it? The windy breeze, the cloudy skies, the wholesome fresh air.

No this is not a recipe post. Guess what? I just had lunch. Yeah as if there is anything else to say. I think things are getting a bit annoying, now that I ate more curries than ever, nice little ulcers began to make their home on my gummies.

Fried food and curries are devil’s advocates. I love them, and I hate them all the same. They make me sick with all those heatiness. But then, there is no better lunch than curry and fried stuffs. How?

I’ve been reading a lot of blogs and there is a lot of hype about bloggers choice award around the blogsphere no matter which blog I landed on. I must say, this is something quite grand, albeit there are a lot of them going on and about some bloggers award, this is something big scale.

All the big shot blogs that I knew were nominated and I am more than happy to cast them a vote for their effort of writing that not only brighten up my day, but also informative and keep me up to date.

To date I’ve visited the voting website and I saw a lot of new categories that are both hilarious and well awarded to the potential nominees. So go cast them a vote if you think they deserve some recognition, yeah?

I don’t really watch a lot of movies, and naturally, I don’t keep myself up to date with the latest box office. When I feel like I wanted to watch, I just watch. It is usually like that, so sometimes I might flick through a magazine, see a review and go, “Hey I want to watch this movie!”, and the next thing will be calling the video store.

To Eat Or... to eat

I am running out of ideas and places to have lunch, and basically to eat. Even dinner is a problem now. I think I am getting instant noodles allergy and instant whatever allergy, so I am not touching those stuffs yet. Seriously, sometimes it is vomit inducing, no joke.

The one thing I know is, I must eat, in order to do my work. Too hungry and I can’t think properly, affecting productivity.

After all this assignments, thesis, projects and final exam, you bet that I am longing for a holiday so much that I will explode. I wish I could go somewhere further, like Europe. It will be fun! There will be a lot of new things for me to explore, food that I’ve never eaten before, places that I’ve only seen on TV, oh my God, the possibilities are endless!

And then where should I be staying? Bed and breakfast? Posh hotels? Or quaint little cottages by the sea? Should I just be a little bit budget conscious and choose an affordable motel instead? I don’t know, really, the prospect of going is just too exciting that I am losing my head. And then, and then, how many day should I be staying? Maybe I can tour the Europe! I want to go French Riviera and then I want to visit Buckingham Palace, and I want to go Netherlands to see the tulips. I wonder if they are in season.

So many countries, so many things to see. I must plan my accommodation carefully. When should I be going? How long should I stay in each place? All this must be planned carefully, lest that I have to sleep in the sidewalk. Haha. Nasi Beriyani is Teh Best!

Today I ate nasi beriyani. Goodness! Went to Subaidah actually, to have some rice and meat, the usual proper meal set, and since there is nasi beriyani, I checked my wallet and decided to wallop some, with chicken masala. It was a big mistake ordering kuah campur on it, because frankly, nasi beriyani and mutton curry is still the best. That rice alone cost me a whooping RM7.00, and I didn’t get to finish.

Why? Because I look to my right and saw someone wolfed down a huge truck of sickeningly sweet ais kacang and suddenly I feel too full. What a waste.

The Subaidah cashier machine ran out of ink and I almost got overcharged because the cashier couldn’t differentiate between a 5 and a 7. Pfft.

Ants, OMG

It has been bugging me for a while, the invasion of ants at home. I supposed we are to blame from all the food we left around, but things are getting from bad to worst. They are invading scones, breads and biscuits, building a colony out of my food.

In case you are wondering, I do examine my food before consuming, so I didn’t get any extra protein from the ants. Until now my stance has been defensive, sympathetic even, no thanks to the recent movie called, “The Ants”.

Don’t know if I ranted about this before, but it is getting too creepy crawly to my liking. Honestly, I will freak out if I find out that there are more lurking in the corner. So geli.

McD Fries

Damn McD fries. Damn Taman Buaya McD fries. They still serve the best fries throughout Malacca, even though it might not be that consistent and I still get soggy fries sometimes.

To think I went all the way braving the traffic jams just to get some. What madness.

I should've ordered delivery, but I know they come from Jusco McD, which is not as nice.

Please lah, I want air cond! And a fridge with ice dispenser, either one. I am not greedy. DO you think that it will work? writing letters to Santa Claus now?

Psychic Powers

As an ardent believer of psychic and the supernatural, I am always curious about the truth of psychic power and pscychic readings that could foretell the future. Even then, I can’t help but to be wary of fake psychics out there that are nothing more than conmen, but still think that some psychics are genuinely gifted with the ability.

There are a lot of ways or methods, or so that I‘ve learned, for a psychic to use in order to foretell the future. Some uses crystal balls, others used tea leaves, and of course, tarot labels in tarot card readings are quite well known too.

I’ve seen a tarot card reading center somewhere near my place. Curious as I was, I dare not to try, because I am squeamish about knowing my future, just in case it is something not so good. Blame the pessimistic in me.

There goes... my animes...

Every time I develop a liking towards an anime, they will end. All those nice animes that I watched ended. Those that I really, really like include Ghost Hunt and Ouran High School Host Club ended. And some others that are hanging halfway, refusing to come out faster, such as Shounen Omniyouji, Kekkaishi, Yamato something-something No Henge… and sigh, it is depressing to recall alright.

And some animes that left me with more questions after watching are spewing out episode after episode like no tomorrow. The more I watch them, the more confused I am. Why am I still watching?

Must be some childhood complex. I prefer watching animations that real life flesh and blood.

Looks like lunch is always a headache. I guess I will be eating more instant noodles at home. I hate the crowd and the sun.

I think that translates me as a picky person. Why am I always ranting about lunch anyway? Boringness.

My uncle runs a building material business. Although most of what he sells consists or roofing materials, there are a lot of materials and inventory system to keep track of. Being a traditional man, he is still using the paper and ink approach.

I still think that to be able to survive in today’s business world, we must constantly upgrade ourselves. Using computer and the internet as a business tool is crucial. PC Fair

Went to Mahkota today, just for the sake of the pc fair. I didn’t buy anything though. Just browsing through. As usually I don’t think the participating tenants are going to throw the keyboards for sale at competitive prices, unlike those flash drives and mp3 players. Well, never mind.

Dropped by Skinfood again. Call me a sucker, but I still like their products. The salesgirl is extremely helpful, and there are new products! I was supposed to scout for the tomato face cream, but it was outta stock and they recommend this broccoli face cream that contains shield for both UVA and UVB, with a higher SPF. So right now, the broccoli face cream will be in my Keep In View list. Didn’t buy anything though.

Auto Insurance

Car insurance is a must. We have three cars at home, and each year we pay a lot for auto insurance. Sometimes I wish they are insurance agents out there who could offer better prices with better services. The one we used to frequent takes very long processing time and it isn’t exactly customer friendly either.

Maybe somewhere out there is a better deal. I found one on this Connecticut Auto Insurance. They give insurance quotes and services for those living in Connecticut, but it is a helpful reference anyway.

Prune Essence

Call me a sucker for vanity. The other day, suckered by the innershine thingy that will make me feel better and, ahem… look better, I bought this Brand’s prune essence. For someone who doesn’t even eat prune this is a big leap alright?















The fact that it is selling with a price slash actually contributes a little, but, we’ll leave that first. So, I’ve finished the first bottle, and can’t see anything yet, except, erm maybe some sweetness. I hope it works.

Mold Removal

Euwwrgh… molds. Those things could really grow everywhere. My bread, the jams, on the walls, ceilings, path ways, and the ughhh… bathroom. If it is food, that I can throw them away in an instant, but if its somewhere, on the tiles especially, it will involve a lot of scrubbing and cursing under the breathe.

To date, I can’t find a good solvent to remove those stubborn, nasty stuff from the tiles. I hope this Toxic Mold Removal helps.

Weekend, Wheeee!

It is Friday oh my gawd. Another two hours of lecture and the weekend officially starts. I am already in for the pc fair in Mahkota Parade, and I will be going today because I think it is less packed and parking is cheaper.

The thing is, I don’t know if I should be buying the keyboard. If it is, it would be black, to complement everything on the table. I am eyeing those with almost basic function though. Preprogrammed stuffs never work for me. I am a mouse person.

Help! My washing machine broke down!

It’s not exactly broken down actually, but it just wouldn’t spin, and I am left with all wet and soggy laundry that all stuck together and takes hell lotta energy to separate them. And it is making a lot of noises during the washing cycle, so I am prepared for the worst.

Well actually, the washing machine ain’t mine, it’s my housemate’s. But then if it breaks down, we will all suffer too.

For starters, we do not have a proper place to handwash the clothes….

And then we don’t have enough of basins to soak the clothes in…

Laundromats are very, very expensive…

Argh! I dare not think!

Foreign Exchange Investment

I admit that I am not familiar with brokerage, stock markets and foreign exchange investment. I am interested in some investment, and since I am not familiar, I would like to understand more about these things where money is concerned before putting any cash in it. I figure out that if I should save enough money for an initial investment. I am not sure how much is enough and what should I be investing in.

Many people that I know invest in the share market, as the forex trading is an unchartered area, at least to my concern. However, I see that forex trading is a viable investment in the global futures. There will be a pc fair in Mahkota Parade come this weekend. I wonder if I should go check it out. Since I have like, everything I need, there is no such need to go and get all the impulse buying urge, but then going for a look see wouldn’t hurt, no?

Speaking of computer, peripherals and accessories, I wonder if I should get a keyboard. My current keyboard has a long standing service period of five years, and is getting dirty, if not old. I’ve changed a few since, but all of them ended up konked out, so I have to use back my this old keyboard.

However, since it is cheap, I return to the same place for lunch today. It’s a huge gamble I tell you. If the stomachache is severe, medical fees would have cost steeper.

Some people have sore neck or back due to sport. As for me, it’s because I sat too long in front of a not so ergonomic computer. It is not so good sitting in a position too long, especially if it is not good for the back.

Its not a good idea to eat instant noodles often though, its bad for the health. I think I can attribute my hair loss to instant noodles, no jokes.

Drug Rehabilitation

Having grown up from the side of not so well to do town, I’ve witnessed a lot of vices that are both harmful and destructive to a person’s life. Alcohol abuse, substance abuse, gambling and all sorts of moral depravity are all diseases that eat away man’s life and the meaning of existence.

Poverty, lack of care and proper guidance, and bad influences are some of the main reasons why people turn to abuse substance, and this in turn, destruct their life worst than ever.

They steal, from their families, neighbours and the public. They turn abusive when they are deprived of their addictions. They rob, mug and do everything to finance their addiction. They were taken away to rehab, but time and again, they return to their old habits, unable to stop, unwilling to stop.

It was indeed a sad case. A person I know was a drug addict. Whether or not he has reformed and kicked his old habit, I am not sure, but one thing I know, is he had wasted his life away to drug abuse. For someone almost half a centuries old, he had nothing. No families, no career, no love and no recognition. In this society where drug abuse is a social stigma, every one turns their head in disgust whenever they see him.

I believe that things need not to be in that way. Everyone deserves a second chance in life. If you know, or even suspect someone is abusing drugs, talk to them into drug treatment. It is better safe than sorry. A moment of curiousity to try out drugs isn’t something to be ashamed of, so do not let it destroy you. Instead, seek for help before it is too late. So, please go to a rehabilitation program and sort yourself out. It is never too late to seek for help in this kind of situation.

Good morning

Yawn!

Its Wednes-dreaded-day again. I wish I don't need to be seeing my supervisor. No wait, I really don't need to!

Oh, gosh! Its time to speed up things, but the good part is, I need not go to see him for project discussion, at least for today. I haven't pay my tuition fees yet, so I think must go campus also.

This is a random thing, but what the heck. I find that Body Shop's lip balm is well, not exactly a good deal. For the price, I really thought I could get something of value, instead of some weird smelling, grease stick that doesn't moisturize. Oh well, maybe I am not suited to it. I don't know. But I still think Lip Ice works better and more economical.

So, yeah I am not going to use any Body Shop stuffs again.

Planning for a House

Seeing that I am still struggling to finish my studies, buying a home is a long future from now. But hey, one can never plan too early. My first home would be like, let’s see an apartment I hope, since its all glam and gardenless, because I don’t fancy tending gardens yet.

Looks like I should utilize mortgage calculator, as they are an extremely handy tool to help determine mortgage rates and mortgage quotes, so that I can plan the finance for my house accordingly. Haircut

I've just had my haircut. In Creative, the hair academy in front of campus. By a junior stylist. Cost me RM20.00. I hope it doesn’t suck.

I mean, I’ve been feeling as if I am sleeping in a thicket of bush ever since the beginning of the year. That means the last haircut I had was like, in November O-M-G!

I’ve learned how to form my curls with my bare hands with some heat from the hair dryer. Its gonna be nifty! Now, I should find a place to plug in the hair dryer cord admist the phone charger, camera charger, laptop charger, printer, table fan, table lamp….

Now lets just hope the socket won’t explode from overuse.

Music is a part of our life, whether we are aware of not. We wake up in the morning to the alarm clock, that’s music. We sing while we bathe, that’s music. We go to work and tune into the morning radio, that’s music.

Happy me! I’ve got my sleeping time correct, the weather is fine as it started raining every now and then again, I didn’t miss any classes, and the thesis is progressing. It’s a good thing to be able to sleep at night I tell you, because sleeping in the afternoon feels so screwed up, as if I wasted my whole day. And I have this fleeting impression that it will hurt my internal clock.

The only setback I guess, would be a little bit of overspending here and there. I saw a jeans skirt that I really liked, and not to say searched for quite some time, and hey, the price was a tad cheaper than I thought, so I got suckered into buying. Blame the sale. And then there is Vincci sale, but I didn’t get anything, because the mule that I like was the last pair and it was too frayed from over trying. Gah.

Never mind. Save the moo!

VoIP

Of late, I noticed that my instant messenger has added a new function for me to talk to my contacts via microphone, just like using a normal phone. It was great, now that I can yak away without worrying about my phone bills, since it is free. This new function, as I learned, is called VOIP.


Do you know how VoIP works? I just did a research and found out that can achieve many tasks that are not possible to achieve using traditional networks. For instance, incoming phone calls can be automatically routed to my VoIP phone, regardless of where am I connected to the network.
