Shopping Cart Software

I always dream of setting up my own business, but it is easier said than done. A brick and mortar business requires a space to start up, and that comes with utility bills and rental. Aside from that, I need sales assistants. And then I need to order my merchandise, arrange and promote, do marketing, and all sorts in order to drive the business.

All these needs a lot of capital, contacts and advertising in order to keep the business in line. I was thinking, since online shopping is so popular these days, why not? With shopping cart software so advanced and secure these days, an online store is not impossible.

I could get a supplier and start from there. From then on, I can label, price and market my items with my shopping software, and put my things up for sale. When there is order I will send them after the payment is done. All this saves the rental, utility bills and employment fees, and the shop is always open.

Conservatories in My House

Given a choice, I would love to wake up mid morning, laze a bit, and sit in fancy conservatories with rose tinted glasses and enjoy my breakfast under the weak sunlight, which streams through the fabulous windows. After that, maybe I could start with my daily activities consisted of shopping, having hi-tea with friends and maybe to the nail parlour later.

But alas, that is a lifestyle more suited to happen in my dreams. As much as I like to be able to enjoy life that way, I will be pulled out of my dreams and slap back into reality every middle class income family would have to face. You have to work hard to afford to live. You will have to accept it, modern slavery or whatnot.

Unless I am born rich, I can't afford to say I don't want to work. Maybe, just maybe I could afford a conservatory at home.

Busylah~~~

Have been swamped up with assignments and due dates, and worst of all, looming examination date two weeks ahead. Kinda jittery, damnit, to think that I have examination anxiety after so many years of examinations and education.

Blame it on early life crisis. I don't know where to head after this.

Blehhhh. Somebody, please buy me a frappucino.

Business, please accept credit card payments too

Credit cards are moving the economy these days, no doubt about it. All business establishment accepts credit cards payments, and therefore if you are into business be sure that your establishment accepts credit cards as a form of payment too.

Actually, I was thinking that, paying with credit card is safer than cash when it comes to transactions that involves a lot of money. There was once, when we thought that the restaurant accepts credit card payments, so we ordered our celebration banquet there. Nine courses of dishes and desserts later, when the bill arrived, we were told that they no longer accepts credit card. What a shock it was, considering that the eatery was quite huge and famous.

Luckily, we polled up enough money among us to settle the bills. So, my advice is that, regardless of whether you are operating a mortar and brick business or online commerce, give the option of paying with credit cards to the customers.

First Job, Again

I ranted a bit on my first job, and zewt commented that I shouldn't be working at that age and should instead, have fun first. Actually, I agree with what he says. After all, I have a lifetime worth of working time, so as long as I am able to work.

Its just that it was right after SPM that I sort of have to find a proper way to spend three months, and staying at home watching TV isn't as productive. I know that working sales is not easy at that time, but I didn't expect to should that much of responsibilities.

But still, it was good experience, and a real eye opener to me. After that I know I definitely have to work hard on a degree and not end up getting stuck with low end jobs like that.

Bet365 Online Casino

When I was young, it kind of entices me to see shows featuring gambling and gamblers with thick cigars and beautiful hostess. It seems like the gambling world is so cool, so chic, and so out of the world. So I say to myself, I must go and have a look at the casino when I am old enough. And now, here I am, all legal to walk into it, but I have yet to go. Blame it on chances and opportunities; I just don’t have the time.

Likewise, for a person who doesn’t have the time, the world of internet thinks of everything. I can now sit at home and bet on anything that I want securely via online casino. Bet365 online casino is for game betting, interactive games and online poker playing. Looks like I can place a bet on my favourite soccer team and check the scores there too. Very convenient. So, which team is on a winning streak?

Ethic Problems

I've been accused. By a paid post company. Saying that I have ethic problems. And that I don't inform my readers about the nature of my post (paid, non-paid) and I must declare the posts as a paid one before resubmitting, because they rejected all those. Gah, I have disclosure policy and my posts are all categorized within the sponsored post category.

I wonder what else should I do? I ain't not saint. It is little things like this that makes an otherwise smooth sailing journey bumpy.

And tobe accused of being dishonest really makes me feel bad.

My First Job Sucked

My first job was, if you could believe, a promoter. Fresh out of school and waiting for result, I am suddenly landed in a job with so much commitments and nowhere to back out. For a sixteen year old it was quite a job, doing sales for one brand over three festive holidays over three months. The hours were terrible, the workload was immense, and the higher up was cranky.

Manpower was so lacking that, I recalled I worked twelve hours a day, almost everyday of the week, with two days off for each month. It feels as if I have sold my soul to the job, and for a cheap price at that. The clothing brand doesn’t want to hire a helper, or even a part time, so I am stuck. I did most of the job myself, from unloading the new stocks to pricing them and arranging them in the store, and then to displaying them, and finally selling them. Being a fresh and inexperienced, competition was stiff. My manager keep coming over and telling me that I can’t hit the target sales at all, and I should really push it up. Well, I couldn’t really. Just short of a little wee bit. But never mind.

What took the cake were the hours and the messiness of the higher ups who handles my timetables and payrolls. My time and attendance was almost full, thanks to all the over time and whatnot, and they have the cheek to say that I messed up my time because I claimed too much over time. It wasn’t my fault that work keeps piling. You don’t expect me to work for free, don’t you?

So, I was like, what the heck, I don’t care, and I insisted on my honesty. They have to pay me somewhat, and guess what? They told me too many pieces of clothing went missing and they are deducting my pay.

Yeah right. Do what you want. I am quitting for good.

Strawberrynetted

OMG, OMG! The stuffs I ordered from strawberrynet.com arrived! Well, not exactly arrived since I need to collect them from the post office, but it is exciting all the same. My first online purchase actually reached.

A discounted Stila's cheek rouge, my first piece of Stila product. I hope its good though. The colour isn't that daring, but methinks it should suit everyday wear.

Happy!

Share-in-a-frame

Seriously, have you ever run out of idea on what to give your friends for their birthdays? I’ve given them almost everything. From clay figurines to makeup, costume jewelries to clothes, and even handmade craft and I have no idea what else to give my friends and family on their upcoming birthdays. And then there are occasions such as Christmas, Thanksgiving and the like, where a gift of gift is necessary, what should I get them?

That is until I discover such thing known as share-in-a-frame. A quite refreshing gift idea, the whole concept is like, presenting your friends or family with a share of stock in a wooden frame. Not only is the idea unique, the gift value could increase in the period of time. So, why not get your children a Disney stock? Granted, getting a Disney share will help your kids to earn some money for college fund, or you could get your spouse a Harley Davidson stock, if he is a fan of Harley Davidson too. All they charge is a small sum of transaction fee and you will get your share certificate mounted in high quality wooden frame that can grace any walls in the home. Besides, they also throw in free plaque engraving for you to write something meaningful.

lelong.com.my

Itchy butt me hopped over lelong and started to browse through the ladies e-shop. Turns out it was a bad idea, and I parted with some money, needless to say.

I have yet to bank in the money, and now I realize, it was a huge hassle to go to bank. I have to like, drive there, park my car, scratch parking coupons, walk into the bank, queue, deposit and drive all the way home.

Time for online banking.

-.-

Search Engine Marketing

Every blogger who is blogging for money knows the importance of search engine marketing. It is the ability to optimize search engines that will help boosting traffic in the long run. Imagine that, the keywords to your blog ranks high in the search engine. I am sure it will be the most clicked, right?

That is sort of the idea. Bloggers aside, commercial website should really optimize their SEO and search engine marketing as well. Say, if you are selling health food, you will definitely want people who are searching for 'health food", or 'healthy food' or 'organic food' land in your website, so that you can sell more of your products. So, this is where SEO plays their part. There is no point of creating a beautiful, and functional website if it is going to end up in the very end of a search result page.

So, how do you optimize SEO? For starters, there are actually companies who provide search engine marketing and promotion services, and they are capable in doing the SEO and marketing of your site.

Yes, it will cost you money, but the long run benefit will make it all worthwhile.

Back in Hometown for less than 24 hours

Drove back to hometown the day after the ritual for my late grandmother end, and by the time I reached home, it was already like, 6pm. Adding the time where I went and repair the car doors (3 doors was jammed) I actually reached at about 8pm and leave next morning at around 11am. That is so rush, rite?

Anyhow, traffic was smooth, albeit the amount of cars, except that some unnecessary really cause bottleneck and jammed some stretch of the road.

Merdeka Holiday

Wooot! Its a holeeeedayyyy!

A long weekend actually, and I am back in my hometown. Thank goodness for broadband access, without which I will be cut out from the rest of the world. I started my journey home on Friday morning, and coast was clear. Love it!

Had wanted to start my journey earlier, but I still had class in the last few hours of Thursday, so I can't. Good thing it seems, because I heard that traffic was bad and accidents happened in a lot of places. Okay, so 'til the end of this week I will be at home!
